By the way, Sarah Palin is a staunch supporter of abstinence-only "sex education," despite the fact that her own daughter, presumably taught the abstinence-only way, got pregnant at 17.

One wonders what she'll do when more pregnancies result from this misinformation. A cover up is her likely first step, as that's what she did when the word got out about her own daughter.

FACT: The "rhythm method" of birth control, which relies entirely on monitoring a woman's natural cycle and avoiding sex on "fertile" days, has a 24% failure rate.

FACT: Studies have proven that those students who were given abstinence-only "sex education" in high school (in other words, not fully and accurately informed about how sex and birth control work, and the possible risks thereof) had a 90% chance of breaking their abstinence pledges within 2 years. On the other hand, students who were taught the truth about sex and birth control methods via comprehensive sex education were much more likely to keep an abstinence pledge.
