Cholesterol testing is a scam

Cholesterol testing is a scam. The "link" is tentative at best and the whole "good cholesterol" vs "bad cholesterol" nonsense was cooked up to explain the lack of statistical correlation. "Ohhh, your "Bad cholesterol is high, but your GOOD cholesterol is high too, so it balances  out a little!" They flexibility in what the ratios mean allows them to claim whatever happens to occur in your body was predicted by your cholesterol.

It's all a trick of statistics. Let's say 1% of people with a given cholesterol level have a heart attack. If doubling that cholesterol level correlates with 1.2% of people having a heart attack, then that's a 20% INCREASE in your risk! See how easy it is to make tiny numbers look big by talking about percentages?

And big numbers look small. Cause 1% of SIX BILLION PEOPLE IS STILL 60 000 000, OR SIXTY MILLION YOU MORON. So now lets take your little 1.2% example and account for it, that makes it 72 000 000, a incress on 12 000 000. Not so tiny now is it Cornny, given that the population of the good old USA is 304,059,724.

Also, if you make the argument your 1% was refering to the US population, not the world one, here is 1% of the US population: 3 040 597. So again, not so tiny now is it you jack ass.

look alex, you have to stop posting links to your blog as research against various beliefs and practices on twitter, it will convince no one. You need links or citations of actual research outside of your own wackjob unsupported opinions in order for your posts to be even close to persuasive.

You just never learn do you. That thing between your ears is called a brain and you are meant to use it. Otherwise, God wouldn't have given you one.
