The flight 447 / Anthrax tie

It's long been know that the anthrax spores used to attack the USA starting in 2001 were developed at a US laboratory.

Sources have recently come forward tying two of the fatalities in flight 447 to the lab where that anthrax strain was developed and researched. Richard Essen, a biotech researcher and James Reidner, a "public sector release agent" were both employed at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases - known as USAMRIID - at Fort Detrick, Md., in the late 1990s. This lab was the source of the Anthrax spores that terrorized America in the aftermath of the 9/11 bombings. Reidner's job was much the same as it had been for most of his government career, to evaluate government technology for possible sale to the public sector.

Essen and Reidner had close contact with Dr. Bruce Ivins, the researcher believed to have been responsible for using the anthrax spores as a weapon against US media and government outlets. (FBI explains the science behind the anthrax investigation) Richard Essen was Irvins' lab assistant for almost two years before being promoted. While his new position elevated him to the same level of Irvins, his actual research was still closely tied to the Anthrax, Bubonic Plague and Smallpox research being conducted by Irvins. Reidner's job was to evaluate the technology being developed by Irvins and Essen and decide if it should be sold to US pharmaceutical companies.

Publicly available records are vague about their actual work and relationship beyond these sparse facts. Even these details required data from a "Freedom of Information" request made by an associate on another matter. I've been contacted by several people regarding these three men after my recent article The shocking truth about Flight 447. I'm still arranging for interviews so I can record and correlate their accounts.
