Mondale rips Cheney for giving bad advice to Bush

From the "You've got to be kidding me" file.

Mondale was the VP during the Carter administration, and is arguably the only man who outdid Carter in terms of being a neutered weakling in DC.

"If I had done as vice president what this vice president has done, Carter would have thrown me out of there," Mondale said.

That's because you, Mondale, are a weak-kneed spineless coward. You need to have a spine, courage and guts to act like Cheney, none of which are part of your limp-wristed personality.

Mondale, in all His GloryVSCheney, laughing his ass off at Mondale

"Crowds were bathing until late into the night."

Millions of Hindus take holy bath

"The planetary alignment is such that sun rays, when they fall on the Ganges, turn the river water into nectar. So bathing here today is equivalent to drinking nectar," he says.

Next year, try adding some soap.

And call a Dentist while you're at it.

Last remenants of Democracy swept away, Chavez now official dictator

In a move erriliey reminiscent of the German "enabling Act" that granted Hitler total and complete power, Venezuela's National Assembly has given approval to a bill granting Hugo Chavez the power to bypass congress and rule by decree.

While the claim is made that this law will sunset in 18 months, the odds of a Communist like Chavez actually relinquishing that kind of power are slim.

Next time, buy American you asshats.

Toyota to recall 533,000 SUVs, trucks

Automaker says 11 accidents were reported because of a defect that makes Sequoia, Tundra difficult to steer.

What was that about Japanese trucks being safer? I seem to recall some claims along those lines a while back.

Kerry running in 2008?

Personally, I think it will be a riot if Kerry runs again.

He's already proven that he can't win. I don't think he even carried his home state for crying out loud!

Let's see who the dems have lined up:

Obama Hussein: A man who is unelectable on so many fronts it's absurd. Most Americans, if they even know of him, think he's Muslim. Add to that the fact that he's black, and you've just handed the South and much of the Midwest to whomever the Republicans run.

Hillary Clinton: Aside form the fact that she's the most hated harpie in the nation, she's ALREADY been president for eight years. (What, you thought Bubba was running things???)

Kerry: Already had his ass handed to him in a fair election, and by the time 2008 rolls around the Democrats will have their own messes and scandals to clean up, like their complete and utter uselessness in 2007 and 2008.

It's legal for the states to ban Islam

Yes, yes, the Constitution declares "Congress shall make no law ... respecting an establishment of religion."

What people forget, is that this dictum was never meant to drive a wedge between the state and religion. Quite the opposite.

Many of the founding 13 colonies had state religions. The wording of the Bill of Rights is clear, particularly where it declares "'All the power that is not expressly delegated to the federal government is reserved for the states."

Pat Robertson said it best:

"The first point in the Bill of Rights, the First Amendment to the Constitution, said 'Congress shall pass no law respecting the establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.' There were certain states at that time that had established religions. Massachusetts was a case in point. They had a state religion. And they didn't want this enormously powerful Congress to superimpose a religious system on their state system. To guarantee the states retained critical rights, the tenth amendment said, 'All the power that is not expressly delegated to the federal government is reserved for the states.' The intent? The people -- i.e. the states -- have delegated power. They gave up some powers, but they did not give up all powers because they are sovereign states."

What does this mean for the War on Terror?

To start with, it means that it's legal for the states to pass laws to prohibit a given religion. In this case, Islam.

Once Islam is illegal, you can start rounding up the terrorists and prospective terrorists on far easier grounds than proving they had an active plot to bomb the Sears Tower. Questioning them becomes easier, detaining them becomes easier and it's damn hard to orchestrate a terror attack from prison.

The benefits are immeasurable. All it would take is for a few states to make Islam illegal.

Let's say New York State is the first to ban Islam. Suddenly, anyone flying through a NYC airport or driving down an state road is subject to detention and arrest for praying to the Muslim Moon God Allah.

How many of the 9/11 hijackers would have been thwarted by this?

If Massachusetts had outlawed Islam before 9/11/2001 the hijackers would have been unable to hijack the planes they subsequently few into the World Trade Center and The Pentagon.

It's time we took a real stand against the perpetrators of violence, and outlawed a theology based on the murder of those who don't follow it.

They call it "the religion of peace" but their own religious book dictates unbelievers be killed. They seem to enjoy following that rule. If they're so eager to slaughter us, then I say we start by kicking them out of our country.
