I've sent a letter to Reverand Phelps of the Webstboro Baptist Church
Rev. Phelps,
I've been trying to shut down a Podcast called "Distorted View" with little success, other than a long string of abusive messages from the show's fans. I'm writing to solicit advice, and perhaps some assistance in shutting this man down. The show's URL is http://distortedview.com
I've written about this disgusting Podcast in my Blog on numerous occasions.
I first learned of this program because of a video he produced advocating Homosexual rape of underage boys. I wrote about it here:

I learned that at least one young man, corrupted by the show, was suspended for his efforts to "promote" it on school grounds.

Finally, after threats of lawsuits, they forced me to concede that, shocking enough, the content of the program DIDN'T qualify as child pornography under Federal law.

Is there any advice you can offer? I have no real experience in social activism and want to do my part to purge these corrupt influences from America.

Consult the guy who is known for flamboyantly disrespecting military funerals. At least Congress defended our soldiers with the Respect for America's Fallen Heroes Act (for those who are unaware, read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Respect_for_America%27s_Fallen_Heroes_Act). It's highly respectable that the Patriot Guard Riders counter the Phelps' protests at funerals of soldiers by providing a nonviolent, volunteer buffer between the protesters and mourners.

Did you happen to see the expose' done on the Phelps Family entitled "The Most Hated Family In America"?
If you did then you saw the part where "Rev." Phelps was asked if his congregation were the only people on the face of the Earth that were actually saved and were going to Heaven. He answered yes meaning that he believes that you, I, and anyone else are going to Hell no matter what.
I ask you then, why are you trying to enlist his help when he calls anyone not in his congregation a "fag lover" and other derogatory names? It's like trying to ask Satan to help you out.
Wake up and start worrying about your sins. We aren't called by God to make the bad things go away, we are called to preach to the wicked and let the Holy Spirit move upon them. If they don't repent of their sins and continue what they are doing then that is their problem and they will have to answer to God for it not you.
Seriously Alexander, ask God for help. You don't have to live in this hate. You're not a bad person, your problem is with your thinking. My suggestions: pray for those you hate and fear that God may bless them; practice love and tolerance and understanding, Get out of your own head and go help folks in need.
